Our Community Impact

Among these efforts and programs are the OSU Foundation relief effort for those impacted by the OSU homecoming tragedy, the relief effort for the Sandy Hook shooting, support of the Los Angeles non-profit Hispanic homeless clinic, and sponsorship of the Senior Care Live Radio talk show.

We Sponsor Crossroads Kids

Crossroads Kids is a 3-day, 2-night camp that honors the validity of child and family grief by facilitating the healing process.

Annually, 4.8 million children in the United States experience the death of one or both parents. Sadly, after the loss of a loved one, the grief of children is often overlooked. The need for children to have a safe place to learn, heal and grow after the death of a loved one led us to the creation of Crossroads Kids. Crossroads Kids is a 3-day, 2-night camp that honors the validity of child and family grief by facilitating the healing process. By incorporating therapeutic activities into a fun camping experience, Crossroads Kids allows children to connect with peers who are also experiencing grief. It is a time for attendees to share their experiences in a safe place while developing coping skills to take with them when they leave.

Crossroads Kids camp offers children and families in grief a community that honors their grief, supports their growth, and promotes their first steps towards healing after the death of a loved one.

Crossroads Kids provides a place for grieving children to connect.

We are continually humbled by our donors’ generous giving and are honored that many of our donors shared with us the memories of their loved ones.

One Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation donor made a memorial donation in memory of his deceased sister who received care at a Crossroads Hospice facility.

"My sister is in a local Senior Home with Parkinson's where you have been servicing her for the past few weeks. This donation is my thanks to you for making her final days more pleasant."

- K.L. Spartanburg, SC

J.G. and sister from Stow, Ohio donate to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation in memory of their late mother and father, both of whom received excellent care from Crossroads Hospice.

"My sister and I chose Crossroads Hospice to care for my mother four years ago, until her death in June 2011. We again chose Crossroads to care for our father from January 2015 until his passing November 6, 2015. With Dad, we were able to keep him at home until he passed, and we couldn't have done it without Crossroads. We especially thank his dedicated nurse who was with him from Day 1. Thank you, Crossroads, for all that you do. Both my sister and I sing your praises to everyone -- you are all true angels."

- J.G. Stow, OH

"My close friend, his wife, and their son sent me a check for $75 to "do with as I see fit". I decided to donate it to Crossroads Hospice in memory of my wife who passed away peacefully under this organization’s great care."
