In partnership with Cure for ALS
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Over time, this debilitating disease weakens muscles and greatly impacts physical function. To combat this degenerative disease, Cure for ALS, alongside former NFL star Terance Mathis, hosts an annual celebrity golf classic to raise funds for the Emory ALS Center, one of the nation’s largest clinical centers and research facilities for ALS.
The golf classic draws a host of current and former professional athletes, community leaders, and impactful organizations from across the country in a combined effort to raise money and combat ALS. This year’s golf classic, drawing 165 attendees, raised a grand total of over 10,800 dollars for the Emory ALS center!
We were honored to be a part of such a worthy cause and positive community outpouring. We look forward with great anticipation to next year’s Terance Mathis Celebrity Golf Classic!
