Heart disease is the number one cause of death for women in the United States – totaling more than 22% of all deaths in females. To combat the prevalence of heart disease in women, the American Heart Association has created the Go Red for Women initiative. Go Red for Women raises awareness and provides education on living a heart-healthy lifestyle and other preventative measures to halt the prevalence of heart disease in women in the United States.
To support this initiative, we were honored to sponsor the Go Red for Women’s Health Expo in Cleveland, Ohio. The health expo was attended by over 500 women from the Cleveland community in order to help raise awareness, educate on preventative measures, and promote nutritional and lifestyle habits that support healthy heart function. At the expo, the Foundation was allotted an exhibition table to promote the Foundation’s mission of supporting quality end-of-life care, education and caregivers.
We are proud to support the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women initiative, and our efforts would not be possible without your support and generous donations. Your continued support is the lifeblood of all we do and progresses our mission of supporting and promoting quality care programs, end-of-life education and grief recovery.
