Navigating the end-of-life care of another or coping with grief can be an overwhelming process, which is why providing the public with educational end-of-life resources, caregiver support, and compassionate resolution services is a cornerstone focus of our foundation.
Made possible by our friends at Midland Empire Resources for Independent Living (MERIL), we had the opportunity to provide free education and reach out to others who were in need of support at the Better Living 4U conference in St. Joseph, Missouri. The conference, held completely free of charge and open to the public, brings together the top organizations that represent all aspects of well-being in the interest of helping people live life fully.
Over 250 members of the St. Joseph and surrounding communities were in attendance, receiving free spinal screenings, blood pressure checks, and hearing, posture, and glaucoma tests. Our foundation invited attendees to our upcoming grief recovery support groups, and provided free end-of-life education, including an insightful presentation, “Talk with your Doctor” led by Crossroads Hospice Community Educator Judy Waechter.
