A camp for grieving children and families to learn, heal, and grow.

How Crossroads Kids Helps Grieving Children

Connecting Kids with Peers Also in Grief

By incorporating therapeutic activities into a fun camping experience, Crossroads Kids allows children to connect with peers who are also experiencing grief.

Involving Families and Loved Ones

By involving their families, parents process their own feelings in addition to their children's, encouraging openness and honesty, promoting an effective healing process, and strengthening the family unit.

Professional and Compassionate Staff

We maintain a 1:2 ratio of staff to campers to ensure ample supervision and support. All therapeutic groups are overseen by credentialed, master's level social work and psychology staff.

The Reality of Childhood Bereavement

4.8 Million Children Are Grieving

4.8 million children in the U.S. experience the death of one or both parents, not including the loss of other significant people in their lives.

Children’s Grief is Often Overlooked

Sadly, children's emotional needs are often overlooked as their friends cannot relate and the significant adults in their lives are consumed by their own grief.

Isolation During Grief is Harmful

The isolation grieving children find themselves in can lead to withdrawal, anger, acting out, aggression, and other issues.

Crossroads Kids is a 3-day, 2-night camp held at various locations throughout the country and is designed for children between the ages of 6 and 12.
